- Since 1993, NDC has trained more than 3,600 entrepreneurs from various ethnic communities – Hmong, American Indian, Oromo, Somali, Latino, African American and European American
- Over 80 percent of NDC’s program participants are from communities of color
- More than 400 NDC trainees are currently in business, including 291 who have received loans from NDC
- NDC has injected over $6 million in loans into targeted neighborhoods, leveraging another 30 percent in the form of bank loans and owner equity
- NDC has invested more than $26 million in real estate for program participant businesses since 1999.
- The 2008 Wilder Research evaluation showed that NDC alumni have put almost $24 million back into their neighborhoods – in payroll, taxes, rent, purchases and contributions. This is an annual “payback” of $18 for every $1 of NDC program and organizational costs.
