The Clearance Rack sells trendy women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories – every item is new and $10 or less. Since 2005, owners Haiyen and Neeson Vang have catered to customers who don’t want to pay a lot for hip clothing. The Vangs wanted to start the business in order to build a future for themselves and their children while also giving back to the community and using their creativity to work with merchandising and product display. They went through the NDC training program in 2004 and have received several loans and ongoing support through NDC.
The Vangs say running their own business has been stressful yet very rewarding – they are proud that they have built something for their children and provide jobs for their employees. The Clearance Rack received the Community Impact Award from NDC in 2007.
