Our work with and for our program participants applies the power of "home-grown" entrepreneurial talent to the revitalization of low-income, inner-city and ethnic communities.
It's a unique community partnership: NDC provides the business training, financing, and ongoing support; program participants provide the business idea, energy and talent. Our training program is offered in five languages - English, Hmong, Oromo, Somali, and Spanish.
When an NDC program participant starts a business, they represent more than just providing a service or product. They strengthen the local economy, create community leaders, and give neighbors a place to gather and get to know each other.
