Real
Estate Development Initiative
The REDI Program, started by NDC in 2002, is designed to:
assist NDC alumni in purchasing their own commercial buildings
when appropriate
assist partners in the development of commercial proprieties
with technical assistance and financing
co-develop projects to house alumni businesses while revitalizing
commercial corridors.
The redevelopment of the former Antiques
Minnesota building in Minneapolis as well as the development of
the Midtown Global Market in the
Sears buildings on Lake Street are initiatives supported by
REDI. (Details)
Lake Street Business and Career Center (LSBCC)
The Lake Street Business and Career Center (LSBCC) is a walk-in center
opening in February 2005 on the second floor of the Plaza
Verde (Former Antiques MN Building). In conjunction with
Minneapolis Community and Technical College and Good Will Easter Seals,
NDC and its community partners have developed a unique concept that
combines small business services, workforce training and academic
opportunities under one roof. (Details)
