In an effort to assist neighborhood community development corporations (CDCs) to address the issues facing the existing businesses located in their commercial corridors, NDC has established the Workshops for Businesses program as a sub-program of the Micro Entrepreneur Training Program. A Workshops for Businesses is a workshop or series of workshops designed to provide existing businesses with an educational opportunity to improve management skills, develop new markets and increase sales and profits. The Workshops for Businesses also provides an opportunity for small business owners to network and share experience with others. Most Workshops for Businesses are two to three hours in length and include up to two hours of one-on-one consultation with the instructor after the training to provide clarification, individual businesses assessment and hands-on implementation of new ideas. for a variety of topics that have been identified as being beneficial
to our alumni, including:
Workshops for Businesses are presented in various language and ethnic specific settings, and can also be customized for specific industries or business types.
